Kelsey is a 15 year old double honor roll student from Canton, CT who excels at two schools. She attends Canton High School for academics in the morning and then travels an hour away to the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts (GHAA) each afternoon during the school year. She majors in Musical Theater at GHAA where she studies dance, acting, and singing. In 2016, she was one of two students in her class to be awarded 3 awards which included Outstanding Artistic Growth & Achievement; Outstanding Work Ethic; and Outstanding Spirit.
Kelsey occasionally models and is currently a model with MMG. Some of her modeling work includes Billabong and KK Swim. She has had the opportunity to walk in runway shows and was in a commercial for Kleenex. Her runway experience has included several shows for Bound By The Crown, including New York Fashion Week. Most recently, her work with Bound By The Crown provided her the opportunity to go to the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Kelsey has a passion for community service involvement and her platform is Hunger & Homelessness. She volunteers at the Christian Fellowship Center’s soup kitchen and published the Pageant Friends & Family Cookbook where she raised over $600 for Connecticut Foodshare. For the cookbook, Kelsey reached out to pageant affiliated people from all over the county for their favorite recipes. The recipe contributors included pageant contestants, titleholders, hair and make up artists, directors, photographers, and business owners, to name a few. Kelsey received a citation from Senator Kevin Witkos of Connecticut for her work with the Hungry & Homeless in Connecticut as a result of the cookbook.
In two years Kelsey hopes to attend college in the South for Political Science and/or Musical Theater. She has goals of traveling, photographing as much of the world as possible, and having her own family someday. Kelsey’s most notable traits are her kind heart, determination, loyalty, and desire to be there for those in need of a pep talk or advice….anywhere, anytime.
