Gabriela Norwood is an award winning harpist, pageant queen, model and actress from Ellenwood, Georgia. She is a 13 year old 8th grade honor student at Woodward Academy. Based on her academic achievement and leadership potential she was recently nominated to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, DC.
Gabriela won her first pageant as the first Cynthia Bailey’s Young Miss Renaissance in 2013. Since then Gabby has won several state and national pageants.
Gabby is a talented harpist, and was one of the top ten finalist in the National Black Arts Theater Festival in August 2013. Gabriela enjoys performing classical harp and popular music selections for banquets, fashion shows, weddings, fundraisers school events and charities.
Gabriela is also a model and an actress, who has done runway, print and acting in theater and film. She continues to develop her skills in acting and performed in a few short films and videos. She was recently accepted into the conservatory advanced acting class at the Company Acting Studio in Atlanta.
Volunteering is very important to her. She specifically enjoys working with seniors, homeless and The Crown Cares (USA National Miss National Anti-bullying Platform). Gabriela recently developed an organization called Gabby’s Gifts which involves giving time to many charities, giving money to needy organizations and giving care packs to homeless. She hopes to continue to develop Gabby’s gifts and encourage preteens around the country to participate in Care packs for the homeless and find the joy and value in volunteering and giving back to the community.
